My biggest challenge is people spinning the truth to make something work for them. They think they're helping their client, I end up looking bad, and then they tell me they're sorry!
By far, on a daily basis is focusing on the important.
Thanks for question Danny. Things like this help me focus. But, if I was focusing on what I needed to be focusing on, why would I be reading your blog to begin with.
Bob; Your problem is described well in Covey's "Speed of Trust."
Behavior #11: Listen First (Page 208)
Listen before you speak. Understand. Diagnose. Listen with your ears – and your eyes and heart. Find out what the most important behaviors are to the people you’re working with. Don’t assume you know what matters most to others. Don’t presume you have all the answers – or all the questions.
Opposite of Listen First – To speak first and listen last, or not to listen at all
Counterfeit Behavior – Listening without understanding, pretending to listen, spending “listening” time formulating your reply, focusing only on getting out your agenda.

LOL. As a reference, have you taken one of the free AdultADD tests? If not, Google AdultADD and see how you do.
This was a big eye-opener for me to find out that I truly am an adult with ADD.
It made a big difference is my "thinking" about myself, which in turn has helped in some disciplines I'm working on.
