Accountability and Marketing: What do I do next?

I had the pleasure of having lunch with Jason Alba last year. Jason is the bestselling author of "I'm on LinkedIn, Now What?"  Jason's success with his book and coaching is directly attributed to the question"what do I do next?"

What do I do next? That's a great question and the answer includes "that depends."

Do you struggle with what to do next? There are so many things we can do to attract attention (hint..marketing is all about attracting attention). My own struggles and experiences (not opinions) leads to this recommendation -



1. Pick 3-5 things off this list: Weapons I use. You can email me at danny@DannyLSmith.com for a complete 100+ Weapons List.

2. Put each of them on your calendar for the next week. Literally, on your calendar and set reminders.

3. Execute, Execute, Execute

4. Evalute and correct.

That's it: 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4....Everyday, decide today what you're going to do tomorrow and the next 7 days and nights; including Saturday, Sunday and holidays. People are on the computer all hours.

When you're not face-to-face with people, what can you be doing to market (attract attention)? What do you have access to that you're not using. Don't wish for something you don't have (like money), think about what do have access to. 

Look at the list above and think outside your normal "thoughts" about marketing...what can you be doing at night and weekends to market your business?
