3 C's to Business Success

Austen and I were privileged to hear Dan Cathy of Chick-Fil-A speak recently at DTS' Leader Board. What I pleasure.

While I took two pages of notes, the big thing I took away were the three qualities he and his team look for when interviewing a potential owner/operator or employee of Chick-fil-A.

Those three qualities are

• character
• competence and 
• chemistry

Chick-Fil-A gets thousands and thousands of applications each year for owner/operators and chooses 250 or so. These 3 qualities are paramount in that selection process. I'll refrain from quoting definitions of each of these for now.
